Throughout Minnesota and Western Wisconsin, schools have converted from in-person classroom settings to distance learning. While this technology is transforming the way educators reach students, too much screen time can also be harmful to our eyes.
Along with the potential to damage our eyes, increased screen time is also often associated with decreased activity. A decrease in physical activity can lead to a host of other mental and physical health issues.
Winter breaks provide opportunities to silence the screens in our lives and engage in activities outside or indoors. While students take a break from school, challenge them to be creative and try a new physical activity or hobby that doesn’t involve screen time
